- Advised major solar farm contractor re design defect & substructure damage.
- Advised major Main Contractor on alleged sound defects from 40+ story skyscraper during windy periods (also advised on £8M insurance coverage claim in relation to same project).
- Advised primary layer PI insurers on Grenfell Tower Fire claims (details are confidential).
- Advised construction professionals/contractors/insurers on the defence and recovery of £MM cladding claims: ACM, timber, render, insulation materials across Building Regulations.
- Advised architect and insurers on the defence of a £MM claim arising from ground floor slab, masonry and paving defects.
- Advised asbestos contractor and insurers on the defence of claim for failing to adequately survey property and remove asbestos.
Construction
- Advised Main Contractor re £MM damage to Roman Scheduled Monument.
- Advised major Main Contractor on the defence & recovery of multiple claims for damage from escape of water to e.g. resi/commercial development, education facility etc. £1M.
- Advised major Main Contractor on the recovery of multiple claims for damage from defects causing water ingress/mould etc. £MM.
- Advised insurers on £7figure subrogated recovery arising from excavation / groundwork failings resulting in slab defects and subsistence of landmark building of educational centre.
- Advised major Main Contractor and insurers on 6 figure – £MM CAR and contract recoveries.
- Advised insurers on subrogation claims from 5 to 7 figures in value.
Commercial Claims
- Advised construction company on defence and recovery of claim arising from construction debris interfering with rail network – extremely complex quantum.
- Advised in relation to a claim for damage arising under a PFI Contract.
Product Liability/Group Claims
- Lead role in: PIP Breast Implant Group Litigation Order (acting for 1,500 Claimants); MoM Hip Implant Group Litigation; Combination Component Hip Group Litigation; Finsbury Adept Group Action; BHR Group Claims.
- Took lead role in Group claim v MOD for widespread negligent prescription of drug – Lariam.
